The ISME 2022 World Conference Awards are intended to enable applicants with demonstrated financial needs to attend the ISME 35th World Conference to be held online from July 17 to 22, 2022. The offer of the award is designed to encourage conference attendance through the waiving of the conference fee.

All applicants will be advised of the outcome in early April 2022. Unsuccessful applicants will be given the opportunity to register for the conference at the lowest early bird rate that applies to their membership type and country of residence.
DECISION MAKING PROCESS

- Full and student members from low-PPP countries (see list below)
- Student members from high–PPP countries
- First time conference attendees
CRITERIA
The criteria by which applications will be judged include:
- PPP category (high/low) of the applicant's country of residence
- The applicant's financial need, defined in part by the status of the applicant (e.g., student, full-time, part-time, unwaged)
- A short statement describing the ways in which attending the ISME World Conference will contribute to the individual's further work in music education.
- Verification of previous conference attendance

DECISION MAKING PROCESS
- The Awards Committee will prioritise applications from students, first time attendees and members from low PPP countries.
- All applications will be considered by the ISME Awards Committee using the four criteria listed above.
- Applicants will be informed of the outcome within four weeks of the closing date.
- Any unsuccessful applicant will be given the opportunity to join the conference as a paid delegate at the relevant early bird rate.
- The decision of the panel is final, and the Society regrets that it is unable to enter into any correspondence regarding its decision.

* Purchasing Power Parity (PPP) is the measurement of prices in different countries that uses the prices of specific goods to compare the absolute purchasing power of the countries' currencies. Since 2018 ISME has used PPP to determine its membership and conference registration fees.
