Getting to Chennai
Chennai is a well connected city. You may get there by flights, train, bus and road.
Flights
The Chennai International Airport (MAA) serves both domestic and international flights from all over India and the world.
Train
There are 3 main railway stations that serve the Chennai metropolitan area. They are:
Chennai Central (MAS)
This is the largest and most important station in Chennai and is a vital transportation hub in southern India. An international ticket office is available on the second floor of the station. One part of the station, called the Moore Market Complex, exclusively serves suburban trains. The other major railway stations in Chennai are:
Bus
Several private and government buses are available from different parts of the state of Tamil Nadu, as well as from other states and union territories. You may check the schedule of government buses here and you may book private buses in any of the travel portals like Redbus or Makemytrip. The main Chennai Mofussil Bus Terminus (CMBT) is a five minute drive from KM Conservatory, the conference venue. You may take an auto rickshaw from CMBT to KM Conservatory.
Visas to India
- Citizens of Bhutan and Nepal do not require visas or passports to enter India (with some exceptions).
- Citizens of Maldives are allowed to stay for up to 90 days without a visa (with some exceptions).
- Visa-on-arrival is available to citizens of Japan, South Korea and UAE (with some exceptions).
- Citizens of 166 countries may apply for e-visa here.
- Others must apply for an Indian visa through an Indian mission/embassy.
- Please verify current information before obtaining a visa and travelling to Chennai.

- Tambaram Railway Station (TBM).

Local metro
KM Conservatory is a 2 minute walk from the Arumbakkam metro station which is on the Green Line.
